Debra Medina, new star of America’s right, is firing up the race for Texas governor

…still wearing the outfit she had in Lytle. But when it comes to speeches Medina is no Sarah Palin. She has no need to write on her hand to remember her talking points. Instead her speech was a complex walk through her extreme anti-government philosophy, citing sources as varied as the Austrian school of economics, St Augustine and modern French philosophers. She said she wanted to get rid of property taxes and allow Texans to do whatever they wanted with anything they owned, whether that was dig for oil or build an extension. There was, she said, no constitutional basis for a federal Department of Education or an Environmental Protection Agency or the Federal Reserve. Texas should assert its rights almost as a nation-state, controlling over its own National Guard units. The disdain for government was visceral. The American way, she said, was simple. “There are two rights essential to freedom: private property and gun ownership.”

Perry gives 1.4 Million to Facebook – he owns the TX media why not Facebook?

My reaction? This is NOT about economic development, this is about buying votes. The deal isn’t even sealed yet but the press is all over it. Why do you think this offer with its prediction of 200-600 jobs depending on the article you read, is getting this kind of play in the press, when in the past all of these “slush fund” deals have been under the radar? Slick Rick is buying votes with his slush fund and he thinks this announcement of new job creation will work in his favor in the polls. Of course no one stops to think about who will be hired and from where. If the new hires are out of work people in Texas that might make this opportunistic announcement a little more palatable but that will probably not be the case. Facebook will interview people from all over the country for these jobs and theoretically not one Texan could be hired. Regardless, votes are being bought with taxpayer money and I resent it. King Richard must go! Vote Debra Medina if you want honesty and fairness returned to Texas politics.

Rockefeller Institute ranks Texas 3rd from last in economic recovery rate

“This latest report ranks Texas third to last in the country—while states like North Carolina, California and Massachusetts are leading the recovery. That’s a result no Texan can be proud of,” Medina said.

“It’s increasingly clear that the same old big government solutions—increasing state spending more than Democrat Ann Richards and having more unemployment than Democrat Mark White—is not the best conservative Republican solution to Texas’ economic woes,” said Medina.

“Rick Perry and his cronies still have their jobs, but an increasing number of Texans don’t—and the new figures released today make clear, Texas government can’t come close to cashing the checks that Rick Perry’s budget is trying to write,” Medina added.

Perry Lies again – We all knew the TTC wasn’t dead – but it was confirmed yesterday

Our thanks to Terri Hall for all she has done to keep the TTC from taking over Texas lands.

You have to read the rest of this story.  I gues the TTC folks think we aren’t keeping an eye on them since Slick Rick got his knickers in a knot and declared

WFAA-Belo WILL include Medina in Debate on Jan. 29th

Approximately 20 minutes ago (5:00PM) the Medina campaign received a call from the management of WFAA that indeed Debra Medina would be including in the upcoming debate.  People have called, written and posted their support for her appearance.  Thanks to all of you for your support

On-line polls – a mathmatical analysis of what they really indicate

Please send this to all of you contacts.  It is important to get this information out.  Medina has won all of the online polls which asked “Who won the debate?”  Many people tend to discount them but I ran across this post from AlamoCityPundit.com.  It is an excellent mathmatical analysis of what they really indicate.  [...]

This is how the aristocracy ensure that they stay in power…

or…It’s My Turn, It’s Your Turn…It’s My Turn..  But this time it could be the voters turn!

Sometimes when you are just looking around on the Internet you can discover some interesting items, like an article titled Hutchison Slices Into Perry’s Donor Base by W. Gardner Selby at the statesman.com. I would like to just lift a [...]

On Sullivan’s endorsement of Perry

Sullivan and Perry PictureSleezeballs gravitate toward sleezeballs that’s why.

Ain’t they sweet,

how they love to sleeze and greet,

then they’ll cheat you very confidentially,

while legislators meet.

Ain’t they nice,

they never take your advise

they’ll lie and cheat to get your vote

Medina calls Perry “Arrogant Aristocracy”

Note: Isn’t it a testament to the way our politicians see us today – that is sheeple! They think we don’t care if they use their power and money muscle to exclude those who might really lead WITH the people of Texas instead of Leading as dictators.

A Doubter’s View of Today’s Media

It has been announced that the five major newspapers of Texas, The Austin American Statesman, Dallas Morning News, Ft. Worth Star Telegram, Houston Chronicle and the San Antonio Express News will join together to do a combined survey prior to the March Primary for Texas Governor.
It is interesting that all these papers would join together [...]

Dialing For Dollars Rick Perry Style

Wayne Slater posted on his Political Blog for the Dallas MorningNews today, some recent donation figures to the Perry Campaign.  They are as follows:  “Perry got $50,000 in September from the Texas Realtors political action committee.
He got the following:
$35,000 from the state homebuilders PAC and $25,000 from the politically well-connected Hillco lobby shop, whose big giver is Houston [...]

Media to Texans – “Deja Vu” and Screw You!

Many supporters of Debra Medina for Governor of Texas, supported Dr. Ron Paul in the last Presidential Election. We watched helplessly as the media ignored our candidate, even though he received the highest poll ratings, on the networks own polls. The media was willing to discredit the results of their own polls, rather than validate [...]

The Poll Results You Will Not See In The News

Last week Empower Texans ran a poll between Rick Perry, Kay Bailey Hutchison and Debra Medina at http://www.empowertexans.com/week-from-filing-for-governor .  The results are now posted there. While Debra Medina did not beat Rick Perry at this time, I think it is significant that she has a substantial lead over Hutchison, even with Hutchison  being a house hold [...]

Medina greets enthusiastic crowd at TFRW Convention

I recently heard from people at the TFRW convention.  They said that Debra got a great response after completing her opening presentation to the TFRW members.  I am pleased that TFRW made this gesture and did not try to ostracise Debra.  A remark was made to a Medina volunteer that the TFRW wants to give [...]

Medina calls on Perry and Abbott to reject HR 3962

Why does Debra have to call on Rick Perry and Greg Abbot to do what they should and can do Constitutionally?  Our state has a right to stand up and say we will not implement this oppressive and unconstitutional legislation if passed in the Senate. We should have already seen a press release to this [...]

Rick Perry – Smoke and Mirrors

In other words, what you see is not necessarily what you get.  from www.impeachperry.indytexans.org
In fact, Perry Vetoed 49 bills passed in the 2007 legislative session, after the legislature went home, so he could not be overridden. Mr. Veto would probably argue that he restrained himself from the record he set in 2001, when he vetoed [...]
