Dear Misguided reader,

As I pen this column today, I am “Pitty” saddened by Miss Palin’s being “miffed” about Governor Perry’s man servant using the term “retarded” in a conversation last month. Mrs. Palin is only a teabagger (and some don’t even give her that much credit) [...]

:-((

Dear Misguided reader,

As I pen this column today, I am “Pitty” saddened by Miss Palin’s being “miffed” about Governor Perry’s man servant using the term “retarded” in a conversation last month. Mrs. Palin is only a teabagger (and some don’t even give her that much credit) and should in no way publicly show her disrespect for our aristocratic governor. This goes back to my opinion that most of my readers will be less than “top drawer” and certainly misinformed to say the least.

While I agree that discussions of this nature about those who are “less than” , would have been, in the past, conducted in private, and that such a term perhaps would have been be used with more discretion, the facti is that this term was used in the manner that it was and also said by a chief man servant to our Governor’ raises it to the level of acceptable in our society.

So dear reader, as I pen these columns, I hope to educate you on the way “acceptable” and “gentile” society functions. When one learns these important lessons, it will be much clearer why we need the governing elite to retain the power that befits their station in life.

More to come…..

By WAYNE SLATER / The Dallas Morning News
wslater@dallasnews.com

AUSTIN — On the eve of a campaign appearance in Texas for Rick Perry, Sarah Palin served notice that she’s not happy the governor’s top political adviser used the word “retarded” to describe campaign logistics.

Dave Carney, Perry’s long-time political guru, used the word several times in a conference call about arrangements for the first gubernatorial debate last month sponsored by KERA.

During the call among campaign representatives, Carney complained that one candidates’ holding room would be in a different building than the debate.

“That’s just retarded,” Carney said. “That’s the most retarded thing I’ve ever heard.”

Palin’s youngest son Trig has Down syndrome. The former vice presidential candidate has written on her Facebook page that using the word “retarded” is “a slur on all God’s children” with developmental disabilities.

When The Wall Street Journal reported that White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel used the term during a closed-door meeting with liberal Democrats and others, Palin called Emanuel’s choice of words “unacceptable” and said he should be fired. Emanuel has since apologized.

Palin’s spokeswoman, Meg Stapleton, condemned Carney’s remarks but did not call for the Perry consultant to lose his job.

“Gov. Palin believes crude and demeaning name-calling at the expense of others is disrespectful,” Stapleton said.

With Palin scheduled to headline a Perry campaign rally in the Houston area Sunday, the Republican governor moved today to stem the controversy.

Perry spokesman Mark Miner disassociated the governor from Carney’s remarks.

“It was an unfortunate choice of words, and the governor is extremely disappointed,” Miner said.

Carney could not be reached for comment.

Carney, a Republican political consultant based in New Hampshire, has advised Perry for more than a decade. He is credited with molding Perry’s campaign message — an unrelenting attack on Washington and, by extension, on U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, Perry’s rival for the Republican gubernatorial nomination.

Carney has a reputation for blunt speech. He was criticized last year for suggesting, in an interview with The Dallas Morning News, that broadening the Republican Party to include more moderate ideas — including those of Hutchison — could turn the GOP into a “whorehouse.”

Sunday’s re-election rally in Cypress, a Houston suburb, is expected to attract thousands of Palin supporters — conservatives whose votes Perry is seeking in the March 2 GOP primary. Rocker Ted Nugent, a staunch advocate of gun rights, is scheduled to open the event by playing the national anthem.

Dear Misguided Reader,

It is with gentle thoughts that I write this to those of you who are of course not “top drawer”, but the country club GOP candidates need your vote anyway. Therefore, I take pen in hand to attempt to educate you on your misguided views. Please don’t expect such gentle correspondence from me in the future. Once we have your vote, I must return to communicating only with those who appreciate the true gentlile language of lies, deceit, and arrogance.

I dispute the designation of KBH as Bovine of the Month in Oct.2009 and runner-up bovine of the month Feb. 2010. She has, as we say, “well turned ankles” so she could not be posterous of the month. Oh my, did I just refer to the delicate parts of a lady’s anatomy? ….smelling salts please….

By TOM BENNING / The Dallas Morning News
tbenning@dallasnews.com

WASHINGTON – Lunch at Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison’s campaign office in Austin was on the tab of rival Rick Perry’s campaign Tuesday.

But the delivered platter of pulled pork sandwiches was no friendly gesture. It was instead a devilish nod to Hutchison’s designation as runner-up in the 2009 “Porker of the Year” poll released Monday by the Citizens Against Government Waste, a Washington-based watchdog group that tracks and criticizes budget “pork.”

Hutchison’s inclusion in the poll was more significant than the actual result, as the unscientific, online survey only drew 5,000 votes. The senator was a candidate because she requested 149 projects worth $1.6 billion in spending bills for fiscal year 2010, said David Williams, the watchdog group’s vice president for policy.

“She was really just egregious,” he said.

Earmarks, programs that are sought by specific lawmakers and aren’t competitively bid, have been a frequent source of dispute between Perry and Hutchison. Critics say earmarks invite abuse and steer funds away from more important projects.

“With a 17-year career in Washington of voting for bailouts, record deficits and billions in earmarks, Senator Hutchison is once again being recognized for her bad spending habits,” said Perry campaign spokesman Mark Miner.

Hutchison has defended the earmarks practice and boasted of her ability to get funding for Texas projects.

“Kay Bailey Hutchison has fought to ensure that Texas tax dollars come back to Texas instead of going to other states,” said Hutchison spokesman Jeff Sadosky. “Her effectiveness has resulted in funding for Texas military installations, Texas veterans and vital infrastructure needs, which translates into Texas jobs.”

Perry’s campaign has been promoting the Porker award ever since the group named Hutchison “Porker of the Month” in October. Despite that hype, the senator only received 26.3 percent of the vote – well behind the 49 percent for Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass.

Even while slamming Hutchison’s spending, Perry’s campaign said the governor also believes it is important to “return Texas taxpayers’ money back to the state.” But Perry’s spokesman said that didn’t equate to supporting earmarks.

“There has to be prioritizing coming out of Washington,” Miner said.

Miss Pitty’s philosophy is that all of us supporting Debra Medina are very much “lower class” and “misguided” because we believe in the Constitution, honesty, integrity and morals. Miss Pitty will attempt to convince us that these things matter not – that the only thing that matters is getting an elitist Republican elected.

Please be kind and let’s try to make a good impression on Miss Pitty and attempt to convert her to a Debra Medina Republican. We could leave the Republican out, really, since most of us see all “Parties” as corrupt patronage bureaucracies but then again, we have to deal with them since they are in power.

So please help us site volunteers welcome Miss Pitty Pat Pantaloon. Thank you.
