Perry ad says he stands for 10th Amendment – yet spokesman says it is not in effect today. Which is it?

History has been taken out of context as it relates to the 10th amendment, according to Tina Benkiser who is referencing a paper written by David Barton of wall builders and speaking on behalf of Rick Perry.  Tina says Barton’s mission is to educate us on the Constitution!  That he is well-respected;  That she encourages [...]

Historical Perspective – Debra Medina absolutely can get in this run-off!

The latest update by the Medina campaign talked a little about the historical 1978 Clements/Hill campaigns and how it can be encouraging to those of us support Medina. I did a little research and these are some interesting facts I came up with which gives me even more encouragement that we can absolutely get in this run-off.

The documentation below covers interesting points in the general election of 1978. Earlier parts of the document cover the primary race so that is a distinction. However the similarities are the discouraging poll results from news and outside pollsters. And although in-house polls were more encouraging there was never one that showed Bill Clements ahead. The other major similarity is the huge turnout in that election and what that meant.

There had been no Republican governor in 105 years yet Clements squeaked in winning by 1 and 1/2 votes per precinct! Incredible isn’t it? One thing that hit me was the last minute attack on Bill Clements – it reminds me of the Beck-Jones nonsense. I also didn’t realize that some of the newspapers actually declared John Hill (the Democrat) as the winner of the Gubernatorial race in 1978. The polls in this race (according to this documentation) seemed to be all over the place and a Krueger poll had Clements behind at 35% to Hill’s 51% on October 28th, just a few days before the election.

If this isn’t enough to give Medina supporters a shot in the arm I don’t know what is. I couldn’t quit reading about that historical race once I started. The message is – keep on going until that last vote is in and we CAN get Debra in the run-off!

Perry mimics Medina’s platform – the greatest form of flattery…

or just lying to the people again? All of a sudden Rick Perry is suing the EPA and has a new commercial supporting the 10th Amendment which keeps the federal government from overreaching into state affairs. Of course they are only questioning the economic impact of the latest EPA laws – not the federal government’s right to impose them. Debra Medina has had these two issues as part of her platform since she began this race.

One thing you will never see Perry quote is the following Supreme Court decision. This is a quote from the website citing the Supreme Court ruling:

Scalia warned, “The federal government may neither, issue directives requiring the States to address particular problems, nor command the States’ officers, or those of their political subdivisions, to administer or enforce a federal regulatory program. Such commands are fundamentally incompatible with our constitutional system of dual sovereignty.”

One day an old woman was walking in the woods and found an injured snake one day during her walk in the woods.  The snake charmed the old woman into taking him home with her and subsequently she nursed him back to health.
One day the snake bit the woman with a deadly bite.  The old [...]

Medina campaign signs being cut down

Unfortunately it is going to take this many tentacles and more to outsmart the opposition.  Why?  They are once agin on the attack.  Medina signs are being taken down or the plastic holders are being cut. I am urging folks to keep and eye on your signs.  Reinforce them with heavy wire.  I don’t [...]

Challenge to Dan Patrick –Give ‘em the Platform Test

Lately I’ve seen many articles on how Debra is not a Republican or she should be running on the Libertarian ticket or as an Independent.  In addition, Senator Dan Patrick, (the millionaire who was a populist during his campaign and who turned RINO upon election) has been regularly trashing Debra Medina on his radio show. [...]

Lie: Debra DOES NOT owe the RPT money!!!!

I have seen several negative blogs concerning Debra Medina recently.  It seems negative blogs have greatly increased since the KERA debate.  The previous tactic seemed to be, just ignore her and maybe she will go away.  Now that it is clear that Debra is in this race to to the end, the decision seems to be, now is [...]
