Debra Medina, new star of America’s right, is firing up the race for Texas governor
…still wearing the outfit she had in Lytle. But when it comes to speeches Medina is no Sarah Palin. She has no need to write on her hand to remember her talking points. Instead her speech was a complex walk through her extreme anti-government philosophy, citing sources as varied as the Austrian school of economics, St Augustine and modern French philosophers. She said she wanted to get rid of property taxes and allow Texans to do whatever they wanted with anything they owned, whether that was dig for oil or build an extension. There was, she said, no constitutional basis for a federal Department of Education or an Environmental Protection Agency or the Federal Reserve. Texas should assert its rights almost as a nation-state, controlling over its own National Guard units. The disdain for government was visceral. The American way, she said, was simple. “There are two rights essential to freedom: private property and gun ownership.”
New Medina Ad – when you get tired of the finger pointing, turn off the TV..
“We Texans at the Debra Medina campaign encourage you to watch the political ads for Senator Hutchison and Governor Perry. When you get fed up with all the finger pointing and negative slander, just pick up the remote, turn off the TV and go vote for a real Texan, Debra Medina for Governor…for a [...]
Perry gives 1.4 Million to Facebook – he owns the TX media why not Facebook?
My reaction? This is NOT about economic development, this is about buying votes. The deal isn’t even sealed yet but the press is all over it. Why do you think this offer with its prediction of 200-600 jobs depending on the article you read, is getting this kind of play in the press, when in the past all of these “slush fund” deals have been under the radar? Slick Rick is buying votes with his slush fund and he thinks this announcement of new job creation will work in his favor in the polls. Of course no one stops to think about who will be hired and from where. If the new hires are out of work people in Texas that might make this opportunistic announcement a little more palatable but that will probably not be the case. Facebook will interview people from all over the country for these jobs and theoretically not one Texan could be hired. Regardless, votes are being bought with taxpayer money and I resent it. King Richard must go! Vote Debra Medina if you want honesty and fairness returned to Texas politics.
Get Ready for the Spin but don’t be discouraged
Many people were so disappointed in Glenn Beck when he set up Debra Medina, candidate for Texas Governor, on a recent radio program. But after some logical thought and “connecting the dots” like Glenn himself suggests that his audience should do, there is no doubt that this would be the position of FOX network…Glenn’s employer and [...]
Debra Medina – A Tea Party Cautionary Tale for Neo-Cons
One day an old woman was walking in the woods and found an injured snake one day during her walk in the woods. The snake charmed the old woman into taking him home with her and subsequently she nursed him back to health.
One day the snake bit the woman with a deadly bite. The old [...]
Reports of my death are greately exaggerated…
Mark Twain said “the reports of my death are greatly exaggerated” after hearing that his obituary had been published in the New York Journal. That was an obvious mistake but those same predictions about Debra Medina are not a mistake. Those predictions are indicative of the cowardly clawing of little political vermin running up [...]
