Dialing For Dollars Rick Perry Style
Wayne Slater posted on his Political Blog for the Dallas MorningNews today, some recent donation figures to the Perry Campaign. They are as follows: “Perry got $50,000 in September from the Texas Realtors political action committee.
He got the following:
$35,000 from the state homebuilders PAC and $25,000 from the politically well-connected Hillco lobby shop, whose big giver is Houston homebuilder Bob Perry.
Other big-dollar checks Rick Perry has received since July:
$25,000 from the Texas Apartment Association,
$10,000 from the nursing home industry,
$25,000 from Houston horse and dog racing executive Charles Hurwitz’s PAC,
$25,000 from the optometrists and
$25,000 from the BG Distribution wine and beer wholesalers.
Although highway administrators have declared Perry’s Trans-Texas Corridor project dead, the governor continues to collect from toll-road interests —
$25,000 from the political action committee for Houston construction executive James Dannenbaum and
$22,000 from toll consulting giant Hntb Holdings.”
Can there be any question whether Perry’s loyalty is to the voters of Texas or is it to the monied “special interest?” Also do you really believe the TTC project is dead when Perry has already received nearly $50,000 from toll-road interests like Dannenbaum and Hntb Holdings? Of course such donation come with no strings attached.
Now we should not think that Hutchison is interested in the Taxpayers of Texas when she has shown herself to be the friend of Wall Street with her “bail out” vote. Now she says “she’s sorry”! A little late I would say.
The only candidate for governor who represents the views and values of Texans is Debra Medina, who was asked to run by ordinary citizens who are sick of being used by entrenched politicians for their own benefit and their own agenda. Debra Medina is truly the “people’s choice” candidate for Governor. She is committed to our Constitution and to the rule of law, where everyone is treated equally. She supports the form of government where individual liberty and personal freedom are valued and protected.
Medina for Governor of Texas in 2010!
