Debra helped advance economic solution
Debra helped me find delegates who would escort me in to the Platform Committee last June at TX GOP State Convention. I had gotten my economic solution adopted at my Precinct and Comal County conventions, but wasn’t a formal delegate to State and couldn’t address the Platform Committee unless accompanied by a delegate.
Some friends from Bible study invited me to a gathering at Debra’s house on the Sunday before convention, where I met delegates as well as Ron Paul himself, and we arranged to meet on Tuesday. The Platform Committee adopted my solution and changed the platform to call for immediate conversion of Social Security and Medicare to private accounts.
This solution can immediately lift us out of the entire economic mess, including free up resources to pay for healthcare and pay off the national debt. Since passing at State, this has also been embraced by grassroots Democrats at four Change Is Coming meetings last December, and is now being eagerly advanced by the San Antonio Tea Party.
Interestingly, Senator Hutchison sent a staffer to a briefing I gave hosted by Congresswoman Kay Granger, and I had several follow-up calls with the Senator’s staff which ended with their advice to “try the Treasury Department.” Governor Perry’s staff has also been briefed by me, another dead end. Debra has already listened and helped in the early stages, and if she actively brings this solution forward now she might differentiate herself quite effectively from the incumbents.

While Medicare and Social Security are Federal issues, they greatly effect every Texan, From the Chronology Page on Mr. Davis’ web site, it is clear that his plan has considerable support. With Debra Medina as governor, she would have the “bully pulpit” to support this effort and could urge the Texas Delegation to Washington to give their whole hearted support. Certainly RP nor KBH have not shown any real interest. We each need to study this interesting proposal and encourage our representatives as well as Mrs. Medina to consider this matter seriously. Who knows our simple little web site might breath life into real reform of our Medicare and Social Security.
Certainly this is an idea whose time has come, NOW, that the current administration wants to take over our health care system, while claiming this is the way to reform health care. Check this out and see what you think.
